The Computing Services unit of ATS is charged with the responsibility of providing support and maintenance of all computing related equipment in the Faculty of Arts. This responsibility spans a wide array of service offerings as listed below:

Computing Services provides:

• Installation and support of new / existing computers, printers and peripheral equipment purchased via the Faculty of Arts Computing Plan
• Installation of licensed software applications on academic and administrative computing devices
• Installation and configuration of e-mail software accessing the university e-mail servers
• Configuration of dial-up protocols to the university modem pool thereby facilitating internet access and usage
• Responding and resolving all computing related problems within the Faculty of Arts community
• Providing support and problem resolution to only those home based computers that are provided by York University under the CRP program and/or Faculty of Arts Computing Plan
